GW Today asked selected graduating seniors across the university to share their favorite GW memories with the rest of the GW community. Civil engineering student Zachary Stecher’s is this:
"Every year, SEAS hosts a New Student Getaway for its incoming freshmen. Our getaway involved a three-day camping trip in West Virginia during which the students, advisers and faculty had a chance to get to know one another in a fun and casual setting before the start of the fall semester. This unorthodox yet brilliant tradition has been the start of so many of my close friendships and has created an incredibly strong community within SEAS."
