Khaled AlFadl receives Award of Excellence from ACI’s National Capital Chapter

On April 9, CEE senior Khaled AlFadl received the Award of Excellence from the National Capital Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. This award is presented to undergraduate students who have shown a great deal of interest in the study and research of reinforced concrete structures. Khaled has worked as a research assistant with Dr. Sameh Badie and Dr. Pedro Silva on two national projects sponsored by the National Academies of Science and the National Science Foundation. Khaled has selected his engineering elective courses in the area of design and construction of reinforced concrete structures.
